Vinous Heritage & History

Our family's vinous heritage and history dates back 1883 when Salvatore Dominic Scotto, an officer in the Italian Navy, began making wine at his home on the Island of Ischia, just off the coast of Italy.  In addition to making wine for his family (a long-held custom in Italy), Salvatore also treated his friends and neighbors to the fruits of his labor. Generations later the traditions are carried on by Paul Scotto, Winemaker Kahana Wines.

•Winemaker Notes : Layers of dark fruit and cassis include a hint of oak spice in the full, well-balanced body. The soft tannins contribute to a smooth finish. Aged 15 Months in American Oak

Sustainable Vineyard Practices

Implemented sustainable vineyard practices to enhance soil health and reduce environmental impact. This involved the introduction of organic fertilizers and cover crops, as well as the installation of a drip irrigation system to conserve water.
